This week, FN’s sneaker columnist Stacey Griffith — senior master instructor at SoulCycle and avid sneaker collector — opts for a sporty Givenchy runner. See her thoughts on the standout style below:
“This sneaker is giving me major spring fever. This colorway could not be hotter or more chic in my opinion. Ugh, it’s literally driving me nuts! So good in so many ways.
Let’s start with the royal blue heel cup that pops off the black base of the sole, which is wedged up nicely against a navy suede heel. It’s popped nicely under a gorgeous baby blue pop of leather, with a unique leather knot embellishment that carries the Givenchy silver letters at the achilles base. I mean — come on, really?
With its white circle foam indentations along the sole, the angles of the stitching, the tongue texture and the color, this shoe will be sure to win some design awards.
Not sure if you would actually want to run in the shoe, but it’s a looker in some white jeans and a black or baby-blue shirt. Guys, watch out if you wear this sneaker.”
